TAP Portugal will launch a new service to London City Airport from October 29, with two daily flights from Monday to Friday and one daily flight on weekends.

With the addition of this new service, TAP Portugal will be serving three airports in London, becoming the only airline to operate between Lisbon and London City Airport, located in the financial heart of the city.

TAP is thus reinforcing its presence in the United Kingdom, by operating to those considered the three preferential airports in London and by offering its passengers a wider choice of schedules and connections, and increasing its operation, frequency-wise.

The direct flights between Lisbon and London City will operate with the Embraer 190 aircraft, with seat capacity for 106 passengers, departing Lisbon at 6:50 am and 4:45 pm, and returning from London at 10:00 am and 7:55 pm, from Monday to Friday.

On weekends, the operation is daily. On Saturdays, departing Lisbon and 6:50 am and London at 10:00 am, and on Sundays, departing Lisbon at 4:45 pm and London at 7:55 pm.

On the first trimester of 2017, TAP has already registered an evolution of 20,3 per cent of the number of passengers carried between Lisbon and London, whereby this reinforcement represents the airline’s focus on a strategic market like United Kingdom, for companies and tourism. TAP will thus be able to take even more advantage of its Lisbon Hub to connect the UK to its intercontinental network, reinforcing its strategic position on business traffic.
